The legendary Sir Tom Jones is set to wow music lovers this summer with an evening of top-class entertainment at Doncaster Racecourse.
The iconic Welsh singer will perform at Town Moor on the Construction Index Raceday Saturday, June 25 following a packed evening of racing as part of this year’s Music Live series.
Tom became one of the most popular vocalists ever to emerge from the 1960s with an eclectic musical mix spanning pop, rock, soul, R&B, dance, country and gospel. With more than 100 million record sales generated by hits such as It’s Not Unusual, Kiss, Delilah and What’s New Pussycat, Tom and his band will entertain crowds with a repertoire that spans five decades of popular music.
He is still going strong and – at the age of 75 – attracted the best reviews of his career for his three most recent albums, Long Lost Suitcase, Spirit in the Room and Praise & Blame.
He is the latest act to be announced by the racecourse, which will also host performances by soul legends Simply Red and 80s jazz funk legends Level 42 this summer.
Tickets go on sale on Friday, February 5 and range from £40-£65 per person (£40 for the Grandstand, £50 County Enclosure and £65 Premier Enclosure) but people who buy in advance can enjoy a £5 discount on these prices.
