Businesses from the upmarket town of Bawtry are hosting their fourth annual Visit Bawtry race meeting on Saturday 16th May at Doncaster Racecourse and plans are in place to make the event as successful and enjoyable as seen in last years video.

Race card sponsors this year are Crown Hotel, Portland AutosRobinsons of Bawtry, China Rose, Fine & Country, Caviars Restaurant and Wine Bar/Hydro Active Pools & Spa and 31 Market Place Cocktail Bar & Bistro who each sponsor one of the seven races that will be run on the evening.

We are very much looking forward to our fourth Visit Bawtry race day and to welcoming businesses and their guests to this special occasion in our social event calendar,” said Rebecca Dickenson Chair Bawtry Retail Association. “Doncaster Racecourse is a great platform to promote the work that we do and the diverse range of businesses, restaurants and retail that we have in Bawtry.”

And, to add even more excitement, the legendary Sheffield band Human League will play after racing concludes.

With classis hits such as ‘Don’t you want me baby’ and ‘Together in electric dreams’ under their belt, the band are sure to get the crowd dancing as evening falls on the Town Moor Turf.

“The Human League is such an iconic South Yorkshire band and, as an iconic South Yorkshire town, we feel that we are well paired for this evening,” said Rebecca. “They have amassed over 20 million record sales in their five decade career and we are looking forward to the entertainment they will undoubtedly bring to our event.”
